A new web application to replace paper documentation for arriving airline passengers to Hawaii went live this past Tuesday. The app is required for all out-of-state arrivals and interisland travel, and can be accessed at www.travel.hawaii.gov.
Travelers will be asked to submit trip details, confirm their destination addresses and contact information, as well as a health status form that must be completed within 24 hours of arrival. In addition, the app will require travelers to enter data each day of their mandatory 14-day quarantine. If the daily check-in data is missing or a traveler has no internet where they are quarantining, a state official and an officer will visit the traveler’s location.
The app completely replaces the paper forms for the mandatory travel and health screenings for travelers but could provide additional processing time at the destination airport to verify a traveler’s contact information.
