IT’S TRUE!! Kauai rejoined the statewide Safe Travels program, starting April 5 which allows travelers to bypass Hawaiʻi’s mandatory 10-day quarantine with a negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours before arriving in the Islands. It also marks the end of the Kauai resort bubble program requiring visitors traveling to Kauai to get two negative COVID-19 tests, one prior to arrival in Hawaii and one after spending three days either on another island or at a Kauai County-approved resort property. As part of the bubble program, visitors wore monitoring devices during their stay allowing them to roam the resorts’ grounds and use amenities but not leave the resort grounds.
