Golf on the Garden Island of Kauai
Princeville is built around golf
In collaboration with nature, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed 4 golf courses on Kauai. 'In all the world, I never expect to find a more spectacularly beautiful place to build a golf course than Princeville, overlooking Hanalei Bay!'

Jack Nicklaus, Robin Nelson and Tom Weiskopf have also designed courses on Kauai enhancing the beauty of Kauai. All courses with the exception of The Prince and Kukuiula courses are public and open for play. Get your tee times by clicking on the links below.

After a complete re-design under the direction of Robert Trent Jones, Jr., The Makai Course 18 holes is in championship shape, with new traditional sand bunkers, lengthened, all new greens, fairways, tee boxes, all new carts, pro shop, and more coming. The Makai is rated in theTop 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses in America (Golf Digest 2015/2016), the #3 in the state of Hawaii (GolfWeek), and was named to The Makaihe list of Americas Top 5 Great Golf Settings (National Geographic Traveler).

WOODS COURSE a 9 hole course ideal for a short golf outing. The Championship Mauka Disc Golf Course is also played on the Woods course. The new 18 hole layout was designed and built by none other than Innova Disc Golf Designers, Harold Duvall, Andrew Duvall, and Darrell Bankes in August of 2018. If you never played before come check it out.

Kama'aina green fees
More good news, perhaps the greatest golf bargain in the world: Princeville Homeowners pay 'Kama'aina' green fees of only $89 including carts and range (subject to change). There are no club fees, dues, or membership.

The Prince Course is the true golfer's dream and is now privately owned. It is undergoing repairs due to heavy rains in 2018. Golf Digest ranked The Prince Course #1 in Hawaii. From the back tees, it is Hawaii's most challenging golf course with a USGA course rating of 75.3 and a 145 slope. Spread out over 390 acres directly on the Pacific Ocean, this world famous course winds up and down hills, through jungles, along clear streams, and over deep ravines.

Kauai offers the best in challenging golf in beautiful settings with views of mountains and ocean. All courses have special discounts for residents of Kauai who show a Hawaii drivers license. Princeville has even lower rates if you are a resident of Princeville and have the Princeville Golf Club ID card (for a modest annual fee, they carry your GHIN handicap records). Amazingly, you can get a tee time easy, often the same day.
